Have you ever wanted to direct a play? Work with actors on a scene? Use your imagination to create a world that characters can live in? Devise moments of stage business, suggest character motivations, think of ideas for lighting, set, costume, music and props? Then the Darlo Drama Director’s Masterclass is for you! Working with a professional director you will learn how to read a script from a director’s point of view. Explore how to direct actors in selected scenes. Read a range of plays from classic to contemporary and begin to learn how to plan a rehearsal. In just a few classes you will gain experience in how to block a scene, interpret a role alongside the actors, analyse a text and create production ideas. At the end of the course you will have gained enough confidence, information and experience to begin your own journey as a director.
